SSMB28 Titled Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu Sets The Screen Ablaze In The Teaser

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the makers of Mahesh Babu's SSMB28 (tentative title) released the film's title announcement teaser. Unveiled on the occasion of his father, Superstar Krishna’s birth anniversary, the action entertainer is titled Guntur Kaaram.

With Thaman's rousing folk song setting the film's mood, a stylish Mahesh Babu enters the frame, and fights the gangsters at a barn — a set up that reminds us of a similar sequence from director Trivikram's own Ala Vaikuntapuramlo (2020). Mahesh Babu lights up a beedi and then blows up a jeep, walking away from the explosion as the title fades into the screen, synymous to the tagline: ‘Highly Inflammable’.

Trivikram Srinivas reunites with Mahesh Babu for the third time after Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). The film co-stars Pooja Hegde, Sree Leela, Sunil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil and Prakash Raj.

Produced by S Radha Krishna of the Haarika & Hassine Creations banner, PS Vinod has lensed the film while national award-winning editor Naveen Nooli has handled the editing. Thaman S reunites with Trivikram after Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. Guntur Kaaram is slated to hit the screens on January 13, 2024.
