Sonali Bendre on Sarfarosh co-star Aamir Khan: ‘I Learnt a lot from him’

The Broken News is all set for the release of its second season. Sonali Bendre who plays the lead in the OTT drama series spoke about how the streaming space has laid down a plethora of opportunities for actors. Reflecting on her experience working in the movies back in time, the actress spoke about Aamir Khan, her co-star in Sarfarosh (1999).

“Working with Khan on Sarfarosh was a joy because he's known for his perfectionism. I learned a lot from him because, on other sets, there were often rushes due to lighting or late actors, but on Sarfarosh, it was different. Aamir is also that kind of actor, so it was wonderful to work with someone who gave so much thoroughness, thought, and attention to detail. You learn a lot from that. When somebody is doing that in a scene, you end up doing it automatically yourself because this is teamwork, and you always say that you're as good as your director and co-stars. If they are good, it always enhances and helps you improve your performance. That's what happened on the sets of Sarfarosh. It was wonderful.”

Bendre marked her return to acting with ZEE5 original series, The Broken News in 2022 and now she is set to reprise her role again in the second season of the newsroom drama.
