Shraddha Kapoor on Aashiqui 2: ‘Arohi came into my life and changed Everything’

On the occasion of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Aashiqui 2 11th anniversary, we revisited an old interview of Kapoor where she said that her character Arohi from the film ‘changed everything for her’

In a candid reflection in an old interview, Kapoor shared how Aashiqui 2 proved to be a life-changing opportunity for her. "Arohi came into my life and changed everything," she revealed, acknowledging the profound impact the role had on her career trajectory and personal journey. Grateful for the enduring love and support showered upon her by fans, Shraddha expressed, “I am forever grateful and thankful to each and every one who gave so much love to me as Arohi. It feels motivating when people remember the film, its songs and the story, even after a long time. I will always be grateful to director Mohit Suri for giving me this character and an opportunity of a lifetime, it will always live and stay with me.”

Aashiqui 2, the musical drama was directed by Mohit Suri and also starred Shaad Randhawa. The film is the second part of the Aashiqui franchise which began with 1990 film Aashiqui starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal and directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
