Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh and Vir Das Nominated at the International Emmy Awards 2023

In a proud moment for Indian artists and content creators, Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh and Vir Das have received nominated at the International Emmy Awards 2023. The prestigious awards will be held on November 20 in New York City. 

Shah has been nominated for her highly acclaimed portrayal of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in the Netflix crime series, Delhi Crime Season 2. The other nominees along with Shah are Denmark’s Connie Nielsen, United Kingdom's Billie Piper, and Mexico’s Karla Souza.

Sarbh will compete in the Best Performance by an Actor category for his nuanced portrayal of Dr Homi Jehangir Bhabha, in the acclaimed Sony LIV drama series, Rocket Boys. He shares the nomination with Argentina’s Gustavo Bassani, United Kingdom's Martin Freeman, and Sweden’s Jonas Karlsson.

Das, who is an internationally known stand-up comedian and actor, has been nominated for his celebrated Netflix special, Vir Das: Landing. This is Das' second Emmy nomination. Nominated alongside him are Derry Girls Season 3 from the United Kingdom, Le Flambeau from France, and El Encargado from Argentina.
