Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the central roles, has received a fabulous response at the box office. While there was no conventional publicity tour for Jawan before the film's release, Khan has been interacting regularly with fans through #AskSRK sessions on X, formerly Twitter, and answering questions about the movie.

During a recent interaction, a fan appreciated the treatment given to Nayanthara's character Narmada, who is a single mother in the film. Khan's character Azad marries Narmada and shares a close bond with her her daughter Suji. The fan wrote, "I loved Azad’s bond with Suji …the single mom storyline was so subtly done and really refreshing. Thank you for representing women from all walks of life. Love you Shah"

Khan's responded to the fan's comment and said that he too really loved Narmada's characterisation as a single mom. He added, that unfortunately, she could not get her more screen time within the larger framework on the film. Khan wrote, “I also felt that the story of Narmada as a single mom was amazing. Unfortunately in the scheme of things couldn’t find more screen time but as is was also wonderful.”

Jawan is directed by Atlee and produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainemnt banner. The film was released in theatres on September 7.
