Shah Rukh Khan has released the first song from his highly anticipated film Jawan titled Zinda Banda. The song is an energetic dance number and features Khan dancing with what reports claim, are a thousand women dancers. Some of Khan’s co-stars, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Girija Oak are visible in the song as they dance alongside him.
The video begins Khan reciting a couplet by poet Wasim Barelvi before the song begins. Zinda Banda is shot on sets designed to look like a prison, complete with barbed wire and a police van. Khan, Malhotra, Priyamani and all the other dancers are in perfect sync in this massy, masala laden dance number.
Sharing the song on his social media page Khan wrote, "When principles are at stake, one must fight, This battle is what makes you alive! I thank Wasim Barelvi sahab with all my heart for letting us use this beautiful couplet with a minor change. The song is written by Irshad Kamil Sir, and the music is by my dear friend Anirudh. Presenting, Zinda Banda!"
Jawan also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. The film directed by Atlee releases theatrically on September 7.
