Ranveer Singh called Kabir Singh, ‘Too Dark’, Shahid Kapoor Accepted the role says, Sandeep Reddy Vanga

In a recent interview with a news portal, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that Ranveer Singh was offered the titular role of Kabir Singh before Shahid Kapoor in Vanga’s Hindi directorial debut titled Kabir Singh (2018), a remake of Telugu language film Arjun Reddy (2017). However, the Ram-Leela (2013) actor found the concept “too dark.”

Kabir Singh also starred Kiara Advani in the lead. Vanga is currently gearing up for the release of his next with Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead along with Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in prominent roles. The film releases in theatres on December 1.
