Prime Video has announced that the second season of its successful series Mumbai Diaries, will stream soon on the platform. The announcement was made on Prime Video's official Instagram page with posters revealing the looks of all the main characters. It seems that season 2 of the show will focus on flooding in Mumbai city, as the faces of all the characters are half submerged in water. The caption accompanying the announcement reads, "Brace yourselves, a storm is about to hit."
The second season of the show brings back actors Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prakash Belawadi. The first season of the show, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 (2021), was set in 2008 and followed the staff of Bombay General Hospital as they faced multiple adversities on the night of the horrifying 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. It also showed a journalist trying to cover the events of that night.
The eight-part series has been created and directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani of Emmay Entertainment. Mumbai Diaries will stream soon on Prime Video.
