Prabhu Deva to play the villain in Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravikumar

Badass Ravikumar, starring Himesh Reshammiya, is a spin-off film featuring his character Ravikumar from The Xpose (2014) franchise. Badass Ravikumar is produced by Reshammiya's music label Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, and is scheduled to release October 11, 2024.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, choreographer, actor and director Prabhu Deva, will be playing the antagonist Carlos Pedro Panther, a larger-than-life eccentric villain. Other members of the cast, which includes nine other villains and the leading lady, along with the film's director will be announced soon.

Badass Ravikumar is set in the glamorous and larger-than-life 1970s. The film is a musical action entertainer with lavish songs and high-octane action sequences that will be designed by the best action directors across the globe. While Reshammiya has written the story of the film, the screenplay and dialogues are by Kushal Bakshi and Bunty Rathore respectively.

Shooting for the film will begin in February 2024 and scenes will be filmed in India and abroad. Speaking about the film and what audiences can expect, Reshammiya said, "Taking a leaf from the books of legends and my inspirations like Vijay Anand, Manmohan Desai and Subhash Ghai, Badass Ravikumar will be a complete package, shot on a grand scale with visuals, action and music that will be unprecedented. I want to give my fans a grand, musical, action-packed experience of a lifetime."
