Pankaj Udhas Passes Away After Suffering From Pancreatic Cancer

Veteran Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72 on February 26 after battling pancreatic cancer for a prolonged period. The singer’s family released a statement confirming the news.

The statement read, "With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February due to a prolonged illness. Udhas family."

The singer passed away at 11am on February 26 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. Udhas' daughter Nayaab also shared the news of her father's demise on social media. The singing maestro is best known for songs like “Chitthi Aai Hai” from the film Naam (1986) and “Aa Gale Lag Ja” from the film with the same name.
