Oppenheimer Surpasses First Day Box Office Collection of Barbie and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning- Part One

Hollywood’s two biggest and most anticipated films released at the box office on July 21, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Nolan’s Oppenhemier left behind Barbie in the box office race.

The opening box office collection of Oppenheimer was recorded to be Rs. 14.50 crores in India and Rs. 17 crores on Day 2 while Barbie earned Rs. 4.50 crores on its first day and Rs. 6.50 crores on Day 2.

Oppenheimer has broken the opening day box office collection of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning- Part One which recorded to be Rs. 12.27 crores.

According to Deadline, Barbie is poised for an estimated $300 million-plus worldwide by Sunday (eyeing $150 million-plus each, from North America and a combined 69 overseas markets). Oppenheimer is pegged for a $165.9 million worldwide bow through Sunday, including $88.9 million internationally, Deadline adds.

In India, Cruise blockbuster, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One, continues to be the market leader, having made a gross collection of Rs 98.35 crore up till this past Friday, July 21, inexorably edging ahead of the two recent Hindi releases, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Satyaprem Ki Katha.
