Nikhil Gowda To Headline Lyca Productions' Maiden Kannada Project

Lyca Productions, one of the leading production houses in Tamil cinema, is venturing into the Kannada film industry. Their maiden film in Kannada will feature Nikhil Gowda in the lead role.

Nikhil, is known for his work in films like Rider (2021) and Seetharama Kalyana (2019). The announcement came during a grand Muhurat ceremony held on Thursday and the production house has made known the cast and crew for this new untitled project. The new film will be directed by Lakshman known for his work in Tamil films like Bogan (2017), Bhoomi (2021), who is also making his Kannada debut with this outing. The film marks Nikhil Kumarasway’s return to the big screen after a two-year hiatus, after he went on to try his hand at politics.

The film will feature actress Yukti Thareja of Rangabali (2023) fame making her Kannada film debut. In addition to the lead pair, the only other cast member to be attached to the project is Komal Kumar, who played the lead in Namo Bhoootatma 2 (2023). The film will have a musical score by Ajaneesh Loknath, known for his work in films like Vikrant Rona (2022) and Kantara (2022) and the cinematography is being handled by Vamshi Patchipulusu, who shot Major (2022). The team is planning for the project to be a multilingual undertaking.
