Netflix to Renew One Piece Anime Series

One Piece sequel is all set to be released as an anime series by Netflix. After the immense success of the first season, One Piece has teamed up with Netflix with One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, publisher Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation Co. for a new anime adaptation of Oda’s “One Piece” manga series. As per a report in Variety, this shall be an entirely separate project from the existing One Piece anime series.

The remake, titled The One Piece, will cover the same story told in Oda’s manga, beginning at the same point as both the existing anime and Netflix’s live-action adaptation: following the “East Blue saga” of aspiring pirate king Monkey D. Luffy and his crew.

In January 2024, One Piece creator Oda will premiere new anime series Monsters 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation on Netflix, following Ryuma, a samurai entangled in a world disrupted by an ominous force — a dragon capable of unleashing catastrophic destruction upon the land.
