Nayanthara Is The Goddess Of Food In Annapoorani Teaser

After making her blockbuster debut in Bollywood with Jawan (2023), Nayanthara will be appearing in the Tamil film Annapoorani. The actress shared the first teaser of the film, which will feature her as a Brahmin woman who secretly loves eating chicken. The caption of the film’s title reads, “The Goddess of Food” and it is billed as an entertainer about a humble villager hailing from a vegan, Brahmin family, who secretly craves a non-vegan lifestyle.

Annapoorani is being directed by Nilesh Krishna and the comedy features an ensemble cast that includes Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsly, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, Karthik Kumar and Suresh Chakkaravarthy among others.

The film is bankrolled jointly by Zee Studios, Trident Arts and Naad SStudios. Sathyan Sooryan of Master (2021) and Kaithi (2019) fame will crank the camera, while Thaman will be composing the music. The screenplay is written by Krishna, with Praveen Anthony handles the editing.
