Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan Gains Momentum As The Team Wraps The Second Schedule

Prithviraj Sukumaran has his hands full with a slate of upcoming films. After enjoying the success of his Telugu entertainer Salaar, Prithviraj has also been directing his large-scale follow-up to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. The Mohanlal starrer L2: Empuraan began production mid-last year and Sukumaran announced that they had finished filmmaking the second schedule of the film.

Lucifer followed the story of a political family and the power struggle they face after the demise of their patriarch. The film starred Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, and Indrajith Sukumaran. The film was Prithviraj’s directorial debut, after which he went on to direct the comedy Bro Daddy with Mohanlal again.

L2: Empuraan is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran from a script by Muralu Gopi. The film is backed by Subaskaran from Lyca Productions and Antony Perumbavoor from Aashirvad Cinemas. Deepav Dev and Sujith Vaassudev return as the music director and cinematographer, respectively.
