Mohanlal as Mafia Boss in L2: Empuraan, First Look Out

As Mohanlal celebrates his 64th birthday, the makers of his upcoming film L2: Empuraan have unveiled a new poster of the actor from the film, essaying the role of a mafia boss.

There is a stark contrast in the actor’s portrayal in Lucifer (2019) where he wore all white. The film was helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also made his directorial debut with Lucifer.

Directed by Murali Gopy, Empuraan also features Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Saniya Iyappan, and Sachin Khedekar. All these actors will be reprising their roles from Lucifer.

The film is a joint venture by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions and is scheduled for release next year. In addition to Malayalam, Empuraan will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
