Mathagam Teaser: Atharvaa Makes His OTT Debut With The Disney Plus Hotstar Series

Atharvaa Murali who was last seen in the sports action drama Pattathu Arasan makes his debut in the web series space with the Disney Plus Hotstar series Mathagam. The makers of the show recently released its first look poster and a teaser. The thriller shows Atharvaa as police officer Ashwath Rathnakumar who is on the hunt to catch a killer, played by Manikandan of Kaala (2018) and Jai Bhim (2021) fame. The teaser shows various visuals of Chennai, the investigation as well as some clues regarding the killer's plans, with a rousing voiceover by Radhika Sarathkumar. It also hints at the series focussing on events occurring in the course of one night.

Mathagam is created and directed by Prasath Murugesan who is known for the film Kidari (2016) and the series Queen (2019). It co-stars Gautam Vasudev Menon, Nikhila Vimal, Dilnaz Irani and Munnar Ramesh. Darbuka Siva provides the music while Edwin Sakay and Praveen Anthony serve as the cinematographer and editor, respectively.
