Leo Box Office Collection: First Day Early Report, Vijay’s film might Break Rajinikanth’s Jailer’s Record

According to a report in the Indian Express, the portal has shared the track report by industry tracker Sacnilk, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Leo has already registered advance sales worth Rs 46.36 crore net for the first day across the country. Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which was released in August, made Rs 44.5 crore on its opening day. This means that Leo is already guaranteed to deliver the top opening for Tamil cinema this year.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala had previously predicted that the film could make Rs 100 crore worldwide on the opening day. He told the portal, “In India, I predict there is a chance of it doing Rs 70 crore on day one. Worldwide, it might do Rs 100 crore on the opening day, based on the current estimation.”

Vijay’s last release was Varisu which made Rs. 26.5 crores on its opening day, the film faced a box office clash with Ajith’s Thunivu which also made Rs. 26 crores. Varisu recorded a total of Rs. 297.55 Crores worldwide. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo also stars Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. The film which released in theatres on October 19 is a part of Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe which includes Vikram (2022) and Kaithi (2019).
