Kartik Aaryan is basking in the success of Satyaprem Ki Katha where he played the titular character opposite Kiara Advani who played Katha. In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Aaryan said that he personally feels he is more adept at making people cry than laugh.

The actor added that playing the character of Satyaprem, allowed him to prove himself as an actor who could perform emotional and dramatic scenes as well. He shared that while he has done such scenes in films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) and Luka Chuppi (2019), the comic moments in these films overpowered the dramatic ones.

Aaryan is currently filming for Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion in London. The film tells the story of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist. He also has Aashiqui 3 with Anurag Basu and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Anees Bazmee in the pipeline.
