Kannagi Trailer: The Ammu Abhirami and Keerthi Pandian Starrer Promise A Fight Against Patriarchy

A story of four women, forced to confront the brutal realities of modern life, is the basic plotline of Kannagi. The hyperlink narrative connects four parallel strands involving four women tackling the challenges of societal expectations and the innately patriarchal social order. Through the lens of these four strangers, Kannagi, helmed by actor Yashwanth Kishore, deals with issues of arranged marriage and the legitimacy of the concepts of live-in relationships, abortion and divorce.

Kannagi stars Keerthi Pandian, Ammu Abhirami, Vidya Pradeep, Shaalin Zoya, Mayilsamy, Vetri, Adhesh Sudhakar, Mounica and Yashwanth Kishore among others. The project is bankrolled by Skymoon Entertainment and  E5 Entertainment. Shaan Rahman has composed the music, while Ramji has cranked the camera. Kannagi will be released on December 15.
