Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's Next Titled 'Thug Life'

The title of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's next film has been titled 'Thug Life'. The makers of the film released a title announcement video that introduces us to Kamal Haasan's mighty thug or a "yakuza" from Kayalpattinam (in Thoothukudi).

"As early as I was born, they decided my fate: Sakthivel Nayakan is a criminal," he says, as assailants cloaked in black attack him, as Nayakan leaps, swings and punches with a grace in his form. "This is not the first time, time has come for me. Nor is it the last time," he says, decimating the villains, not before reminding us to not forget his name, which is a hat tip to the actor and filmmaker's iconic collaboration in Nayakan.

The film, which co-stars Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Dulquer Salmaan, Abhirami and Nassar, has stunts by Anbariv, and music by AR Rahman. The film will be lensed by Ravi K Chandran and edited by Sreekar Prasad.
