Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas Emulates Chiranjeevi's Iconic Gang Leader Moment

On the occasion of Chiranjeevi's birthday on Tuesday, the team of the upcoming Kalki 2898 AD took to Twitter to send wishes in style. Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house, shared a brief clip from the film, in which Prabhas is seen emulating Chiranjeevi's iconic Gang Leader moment, in which the actor is seen holding a portable gas burner.

"Straight from the hearts and the editing room of Kalki 2898 AD. Here’s wishing our Megastar Chiranjeevi garu an extraordinary birthday! Inspired by #ChiruLeaks," the tweet read. To no surprise, the tweet instantly went viral, gaining over 9,000 likes and 4,000 retweets in around 50 minutes.

Kalki 2898 AD is expected to be a dystopian science-fiction actioner and features a massive star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, to name some. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin, best known for directing the Telugu films Yevade Subramanyam (2015) and Mahanati (2018). 

Kalki 2898 AD has music by Santosh Narayanan while Djordje Stojiljkovic serves as the director of photography. The film is expected to hit screens next year.
