GV Prakash Kumar Navigates The Multiverse in 'Adiyae' Trailer

GV Prakash Kumar announced his next project as an actor with Adiyae, which had its first look poster come out a few days ago. The music director-turned-actor will be leading a cast consisting of Gouri G Krishan, Venkat Prabhu, Madumkesh, and Mirchi Vijay. The film is being written and directed by Vignesh Karthik, who has previously directed Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala (2018) and Thittam Irandu (2021). Adiyae is touted to be a new-age romcom that features a touch of science fiction, exploring concepts of the multiverse. 

The motion poster released by the team a few days ago featured references to many shelved projects featuring major Tamil superstars like Vijay, Ajith and also other key controversies, constructing a world where the aspirations of Tamil movie audiences come alive in a parallel world within a fully realized multiverse. The caption to the poster read, “ It's time to answer all your questions in the multiverse of ALTERNATE REALITY”.

The film's trailer promises a love story set in two alternating realities. G V Prakash Kumar plays a common man who wakes up in a multiverse, where reality as he knew it has ceased to exist and morphed into a unpredictable world of 'what-if' choices. What if director Venkat Prabhu was in place of Gautham Vasudev Menon? What if Vijay’s shelved project Yohan : Chapter 1 were to be released in theaters? And what snow engulfs Chennai in the summer? The quirky trailer shows the hero trying to make sense of the multiverse and get back to his own reality before the clock runs out.
