FC Directors Adda 2023: Karan Johar Praises Konkona Sen Sharma’s Lust Stories 2 film Mirror

Konkona Sen Sharma who directed a film, Mirror in the analogy Lust Stories 2, has been applauded for her direction and performances in the 30 minute short story. Sharma’s last directorial was The Death in The Gunj (2016) which was also critically acclaimed.

Karan Johar who shared the round table with Sharma on the Film Companion’s Directors Adda 2023 opened up about what he liked in the Sharma’s Mirror. The director also praised the actor turned director for her seamless work.

“I don’t know if I’ve seen a more sparkling display of talent left just to their own device by the vegetable vendor and I really felt like only an actor could direct that scene because there are pauses, there are silences, there is awkwardness and yet there is resolve at the end of it all there’s a resolve and done so seamlessly, I went back and I rebound and I watched that scenes thrice, it's really because it moved me on many levels and layers," Johar said.

The Directors Adda 2023 was also attended by Vetrimaaran, Avinash Arun, Hemanth M Rao, Nelson, Karthik Subbaraj and Jeo Baby.
