Exclusive BTS At Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi Unveiled

With the release of Leo, the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' has grown to great heights. However, it all started with a film that featured Karthi as a prisoner who helped a police officer save his drug bust to meet his daughter for the first time. Kaithi was released in 2019 and recently celebrated its fourth anniversary.

To mark the film's fourth anniversary, the makers of the film released an exclusive BTS video. The video shows the extensive stunt work that went into the making of film. We are shown glimpses of lead actor Karthi, who plays Dilli, performing his own fights and stunts. We also see a young Lokesh Kanagaraj directing his first big action blockbuster. The end of the video sets up the sequel in an MCU-style text card that reads, ‘Dilli Will Return’. Lokesh Kanagaraj recently revealed that he would be making Kaithi 2 after he finished his film with Rajinikanth.

Kaithi is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-stars Narain, Dheena, Arjun Das, and George Marian. The film is backed by SR Prabhu, SR, Prakash Babu, and Tiruppur Vivek under the Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekananda Pictures banners. Sam CS scored the music while Sathyan Sooryan and Philomin Raj handled the cinematography and editing respectively. The film also marked Lokesh's first collaboration with action choreographer duo Anbariv.
