Bambai Meri Jaan pushes the boundaries of storytelling says Kritika Kamra

Bambai Meri Jaan, Prime Video's new gangster series, became the first ever Indian OTT series to have an international premiere, days before it started streaming on the platform for global audiences. Lead actors Avinash Tiwary and Kritika Kamra, series creators Rensil D'Silva and Shujaat Saudagar and producers Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kassim Jagmagia were spotted at the premiere in London on September 12

Kamra who plays the role of Habiba in the series shared her thoughts on the series' international premiere. She said, "I am thrilled to be a part of Bambai Meri Jaan, a show that pushes the boundaries of storytelling in Indian content. The international premiere in London is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. I can't wait for audiences worldwide to experience this thrilling journey."

Kamra's character Habiba is the sister of gangster Dara Kadri (played by Tiwary) and the daughter of an honest police officer Ismail Kadri (Kay Kay Menon). Speaking about her role and the experience of being Habiba Kamra said, "Stepping into the shoes of a gangster in the post-independence era of Bombay has been a transformative experience. This character is unlike any I've played before, and it has allowed me to explore new dimensions of my craft."

Bambai Meri Jaan also stars Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur. Based on an original story by S. Hussain Zaidi, Bambai Meri Jaan is directed by Saudagar. The series is now streaming on Prime Video.
