In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, Ananya Panday shared an anecdote about how she got the part in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan also starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.

“I have no shame in calling people and asking them for work,” Panday revealed in an exclusive chat with Film Companion. She said, “I did that for Kho Gaye…they were not thinking of me for that film, I called them up and I was like please let me audition.”

On being asked how did she hear about the film, Panday narrated the backstory of how she had been cast for the role, “Sid (Siddhant Chaturvedi) was doing it and we were shooting for Gehraiyaan (2022) in Goa and Arjun (director of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan) had come to Goa to meet Sid for the film and I heard that there is this girl and she is one of the boys so before Arjun came I went and wore these basket ball shorts and Ganji and guys let’s go play football and did like a sly audition for Arjun and he was like wow Ananya is like really cool, she can be Ahana, I was like why don’t I audition for the film then. It was my sly way of getting into the film.”

Panday will next be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming project Control. She was last seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles.
