Ali Fazal’s next Hollywood project is Kandahar with Gerard Butler

Ali Fazal has steadily been making his presence known in Hollywood, his next project is a big-budget action-thriller called Kandahar. The protagonist of the film is portrayed by Gerard Butler known for his action movies like Plane, Olympus Has Fallen (2013), and 300 (2006).

Speaking about the film, Fazal said, “Very excited with this development. A release that wide in the US alone is massive and being an action spy thriller, there is a wide audience for the film. A wide release coupled with a major weekend in the US, I'm hoping for this to be a banger. The film has all the elements to be a complete entertainer.”

The film is releasing in over 2000 screens in the US alone. Kandahar also stars Travis Fimmel, Bahador Foladi, and Elnaaz Nourouzi. It will hit the US theatres on May 26 and subsequently make its way to audiences worldwide
