Akshay Kumar thanks audiences for their Response to OMG 2 and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2

The clash of OMG 2 and Gadar 2 at the box office generated a lot of interest and concern, with many fearing that neither film will do exceptionally well at the box office. However, both films have received a great response from audiences, who have created a hashtag for this dual release and called it #OhMyGadar. 

Akshay Kumar, who plays a messenger of Lord Shiva in OMG 2 has shared a new video on his social media page that mentions that his film is running successfully in theatres. However, the video includes a scene from the film where his character is seen singing ‘Udd Ja Kaale Kaava’, a song from Sunny Deol’s film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001)

Demonstrating that there is no bad blood between the teams behind the two films, Kumar thanked audiences for giving both films such a roaring response. The actor captioned his social media post, “A big thank you to our audiences for all the love for #OhMyGadar and giving us the greatest week in the Indian Film History! प्यार और आभार (love and gratitude) #Gadar2 in cinemas #OMG2 in cinemas.” 

OMG 2 also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. Gadar 2 stars Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma.
