Akshay Kumar's latest release Mission Raniganj, has failed to impress audiences after its release on October 6. As per a report in ETimes, the film has earned has earned only Rs 20 crore at the box office against a budget of more than Rs 100 crore. Kumar has had only two successful films in the recent past, Sooryavanshi (2021) and OMG 2.
In an interview with Times Now Navbharat, Kumar spoke about the film's failure at the box office and said, "It is not a commercial film. It has not earned as much as it should have earned. But, I have come here knowing that the film has not done well, to own the film–and I have done some 150 films by now–and say that this is one of my best films."
Kumar has multiple films lined up for release till the end of 2024. He will be seen in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, Dinesh Vijan’s Sky Force with Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan and Welcome to the Jungle which has a huge ensemble featuring multiple actors like Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveen Tandon, Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta.
