Aamir Khan Productions announces the release date of Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies

Aamir Khan Productions has announced that Kiran Rao's film Laapataa Ladies, presented by Jio Studios, will be released in theatres on January 5, 2024. Set in rural India in 2001, the film follows the hilarious confusion that ensues when two young brides get lost from a train.

Laapataa Ladies will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in the lead roles.

Laapataa Ladies is directed by Rao and produced by Khan, Rao and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay & dialogues are by Sneha Desai, with additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma.
