My Dad Used To Tell Me To Learn Dance From Allu Arjun: Ram Charan At ‘Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India’ Pre-release Event

Allu Arjun's first release this year, Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India, is up for release this Friday (May 4). In the film, the star plays a patriotic, aggressive army man with anger management issues. Noted writer Vakkantham Vamsi will make his debut as a director with this film. It also stars Anu Emmanuel, Sarath Kumar, Arjun and Nadhiya. Speaking at a grand pre-release event at Hyderabad's Gachibowli Stadium, Allu Arjun said, "If the film clicks, my director will deserve all the credit. I blindly trusted him and went ahead. The director will always be the leader of the ship, irrespective of whether he is a debutant or an experienced person. I think I'll be proud of this film."

In keeping with the current norm in Tollywood, superstar Ram Charan was the chief guest at the event. He said he hoped Naa Peru Surya would become a monstrous box-office success like his own film Rangasthalam. "We all know the performance capabilities and dedication of Bunny (Allu Arjun). He has always been an entertainer from a young age. My dad used to tell me to learn dance from him. Bunny was the one who reassured my dad that I'll do well in cinema and also keep up the family legacy in dancing. Bunny is also a passionate actor who wants to do serious roles. He proved that in Rudramadevi portraying 'Gona Ganna Reddy'. Despite the short duration of that role, he got so much critical acclaim for it. Naa Peru Surya will see an extended version of his intense performance," he said.

Thanking him for his support, Allu Arjun said, "Ram Charan made us all proud with Rangasthalam. Its success has lifted the industry (like Anjaneya Swamy) from a slump. There is a positive mood among all buyers due to Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu."

Naa Peru Surya will have dubbed versions in Tamil (En Peyar Surya En Veedu India) and Malayalam (Ente Peru Surya Ente Veedu India). Sakthi Film Factory will be releasing the film in Tamil Nadu. Harshath RVS, who is a part of the distribution wing of the firm, gives us more details about their release plan,

"We are planning to release the Tamil version in about 150 screens and the Telugu version in 40 screens. The total theatre count will be more than 170. This is the first time an Allu Arjun film will have a simultaneous Tamil dubbed version. He has a loyal Telugu audience base in TN. We are breaking new ground with this Tamil dubbed version now. The 3 films-a-week rule by the TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council) is helping all the films in getting a decent screen count. The film has lot of known Tamil artists like Nadhiya, Arjun and Sarath Kumar. Due to the action genre, we are getting a lot of enquiries from theatres, particularly in C centres," he says.
