Kaamyaab

A supporting actor in blink-and-miss roles finds out that he has done 499 films. His pursuit for the 500th film is the crux of Har Kisse Ke Hisse Kaamyaab. Sanjay Mishra plays Sudhir, the struggling supporting star, and Deepak Dobriyal as his manager, trying to fix a part for the man with a goal. (It is notable that a commercial heavyweight, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, is backing a film with senior actors, known for their stellar supporting roles, at the forefront)

The world of cinema here isn’t nostalgic or feverish, it is real, satirical and tinged with a melancholic aftertaste. Here, one doesn’t find one’s worth, but is often made to question it- that forms the conflict: Why must one pursue a dream when the dream itself is a mere footnote in the grand universe of film?

Written and directed by Hardik Mehta, and produced by Gauri Khan, Manish Mundra, and Gaurav Verma, the film releases on March 6, 2020.
