Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 153rd Film, Directed By Mohan Raja, Named Godfather

Chiranjeevi's fans got some news to cheer about just a day before the Megastar's 66th birthday. The title of Megastar Chiranjeevi's 153rd film is Godfather and the film will be directed by hit Tamil director Mohan Raja. The title was announced along with a motion poster today. Chiranjeevi's most recent film was Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy, which released two years ago.  Read the film's review here.

It is said to be the official remake of Mohanlal's Lucifer, which was directed by Prithviraj. The film went on to become the biggest hit of the industry and it was deemed to become a perfect remake that will suit the Telugu audiences.

The press release goes on to add that the film is an "intense political action drama" and that the director has finalised a gripping screenplay for it. Cinematographer Nirav Shah and music director SS Thaman form the other big names in this film.

It is being produced jointly by Chiranjeevi's Konidela Productions and Super Good Films. Interestingly, Godfather has been the title of superhit films in both Malayalam and Tamil too.

Nayanthara and Sathyadev too will be seen in other important roles. Salman Khan too is said to be making a cameo appearance
