Uunchai Trailer: A Refreshing Tale of Friendship

The trailer of Sooraj R Barjatya’s much awaited Uunchai was launched today along with the entire cast of the film. The trailer tells the story of four friends in their old age.

It features the characters played by Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa, who are longtime friends. The trailer establishes Danny's wish to take his friends to the Everest Base Camp, 17000 plus above sea level, one of the toughest treks to do, wanting to relive his childhood with his friends.

But, unfortunately, Denzongpa's character passes away because of old age. Bachchan is then seen taking the plunge and carrying on with the trek in Denzongpa’s memory along with Kher and Irani. Parineeti Chopra who plays the character of a trek guide, looks unsure of the four friends completing the trek, but even then explains the difficulties and challenges to be faced during the trek. The trailer ends with Bachchan, who seems to have reached the destination as he is seen surrounded by snow clad mountains with Legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s famous song ‘Yeh Jeevan Hain, iss Jeevan Ka’ playing in the background.

The film also stars actress Neena Gupta and Sarika. Uunchai is Sooraj Barjatya's 7th film as a director. Produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media, Uunchai is scheduled to release in theatres on November 11.
