Shankar Gives an Update on Indian 2’s Shooting Schedule

Shankar’s Indian 2 sees Kamal Haasan returning as Senapathy, a former freedom fighter who is a vigilante. Like the first part, the second instalment will also have the actor essaying dual roles. During the recently held Ananda Vikatan Awards Function, the director opened up about the shooting process. 

Shankar said that the team has currently wrapped up a schedule in Chennai and that the dialogue portions of the film will be finished by June. After that, the team would be filming a song, post which the VFX and post-production would begin. The team is said to head to Taiwan and South Africa for the next schedule.

The director further added that he has asked for a short song from Anirudh Ravichander, and once it's ready, a special video for Indian 2 will be released. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film marks Anirudh’s second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after last year’s Vikram. It co-stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha and Vivek.
