Ray Stevenson, who essayed the role of Governor Scott Buxton in SS Rajamouli’s RRR (2022), passed away at 58. The official Twitter handle of RRR confirmed the actor’s demise, sharing a picture of Ray from the film. Director SS Rajamouli mourned the actor's death by sharing an emotional note on his social media handle.

Sharing a picture from the sets of the film, he wrote, "Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace."

Ray was also popularly known for featuring in the 2011 film Thor and its sequel, Thor Ragnarok (2017).
