Ritiesh and Genelia Deshmukh’s Ved to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar

Ritiesh Deshmukh’s directorial debut Ved (2022), starring Deshmukh alongside Genelia Deshmukh has found a new home in Disney+ Hotstar. The movie will be available on the streaming platform in the second half of April.

Ved will also be available in Hindi, which is a very rare occurrence for a Marathi film. Even Sairat (2016), the biggest Marathi hit of all time does not have a Hindi dub. The plan to dub the movie in Hindi is to open it up to a much larger audience.

A remake of the Telugu film Majili (2019), Ved follows the story of Satya and Shravani as they deal with an unhappy marriage and a very persistent past. It also stars Jiya Shankar and Ashok Saraf.
