Raj B Shetty Is Bloodied And Bruised In The First Look Poster of His Next 'Toby'

The makers of Raj B Shetty’s crime drama Toby released the actor’s first-look motion poster. The promotion material released until now has hinted at the actor playing a violent character, akin to Shiva in his previous directorial Garuda Gamuna Vrishabha Vahana (2021). The motion poster sees Shetty in a dark red background as smoke and drops of blood fill up the screen. He stares at the camera with a deranged look in his eyes while a huge scar covers his face. He is also donning a huge nose ring. We then see a flash cut to a ram (the animal) which seems to be the titular character’s spirit animal. As a darker and slower version of the title song ‘Maarige Daari’ plays, another image of a circle of fire also dominates the screen.

Apart from Raj B Shetty, who plays the titular Toby, the film also features Samyuktha Hornad, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Chaithra J Achar and Raj Deepak Shetty. Toby is written by Raj B Shetty and directed by Basil Alchakkal. Lighter Buddha Films bankroll the project along with Agastya Films, a venture by producer Ravi Raj Kalasa. While Praveen Shriyan has lensed the film, Midhun Mukundan has scored the music. The film is all set to be released on August 25.
