Mark Antony Trailer Out; Vishal And SJ Suryah Travel Across Timelines In The Wacky Entertainer

Vishal will be seen next in the caper comedy Mark Antony (2023) and the recently released trailer gives a sneak peek into the time travel element of the film. The trailer shows Vishal’s character, Mark, traveling across several timelines in an attempt to make sense of all the weird happenings around a duo of gangsters in retro-fitting attire. Vishal and SJ Suryah appear in many getups and go through many physical transformations in the course of the trailer with different dialects and accents in different timelines. The trailer also features yesteryear actress Silk Smitha, who is brought back using CGI and AI in an integral scene as part of the film’s time jump conceit and period recreation.

The colorful gangster saga uses aspects of time travel through a telephone that Vishal’s character uses in the film and tries to solve a curious puzzle.The trailer kickstarts with a voice over narration by actor Karthi and the whole trailer is framed as a story narrated by a graphic character played by the actor. Mark Antony is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, who is known for his work in films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015), Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (2017) and Bhageera (2023). 

The film features a musical score by GV Prakash Kumar and is fronted by a supporting cast consisting of SJ Suryah, Ritu Varma, Selvaraghavan, Sunil and Redin Kinglsey. Mark Anthony, bankrolled by Mini Studios, will be releasing on the 15th of September.
