Kannai Nambathey Trailer: Udhayanidhi Stalin Is At The Centre of This Murder Mystery

In his sophomore directorial Kannai Nambathey (Don't Believe what you see), filmmaker Mu Maran promises several edge-of-the-seat moments. The premise seems to be about several murders committed by different people over the course of one night. This is right up the alley for Mu Maran, who earlier directed Iravukku Aayiram Kangal (2018).

The trailer does enough to stoke the viewer's curiosity without giving too many details. While a car accidentally runs over a scooter, a few others seem to be scheming to take lives using guns and other weapons. At the heart of the film is an exploration of the killers' motives.

“Some people do murders to hide the evil. Some people do murders to stop any kind of evil. But I….”, says Udhayanidhi Stalin indicating that his motives are different. The film's tagline reads ‘Behind Every Crime Is A Story Of Emotion’. What is the emotion that drives Udhayanidhi to kill people?

Co-starring Prasanna, Aathmika, and Srikanth, the film is slated to release on 17th March.
