Harman Baweja opens up on Love Story 2050: It was ahead of its time

In an exclusive interview with Film Companion, Harman Baweja spoke about his 2009 release Love Story 2050 which also starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Although the film didn’t perform quite well at the box office, it also didn’t quite contribute to Baweja’s career graph. Remembering the efforts that went behind Love Story 2050, the actor said,

“It was challenging and I had its own challenges, I think it was, you know, from a VFX post and from an idea perspective and for lack of a better word, I would say it was well in sync or may be marginally ahead of its time when it came out. I don’t think that level of VFX and the level of intimacy of completely creating CGI worlds. We haven’t even done much of it in the past few years actually, if you think about it. So it was a big heap, remember I spoke to so many studios and really worked hard on it.”

Baweja plays JCP Shroff in the recently released web series Scoop directed by Hansal Mehta. The series also stars Karishma Tanna as Jagruti Pathak, a senior crime reporter. The series which is based on crime journalist Jigna Vora and her book 'Behind The Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison' is currently streaming on Netflix.
