No More HBO Shows On Disney+ Hotstar From March 31

At the end of this month, HBO shows will no longer be available on Disney+ Hotstar. The platform's Twitter account posted as much earlier today in response to a subscriber asking when they could expect Perry Mason season 2 to stream. The news means that from March 31, Disney+ Hostar's library will neither feature older HBO shows such as Sex And The City or Barry, nor will it acquire new seasons of shows such as House of The Dragon or Succession. That platform has yet to issue a press release or statement and did not respond to requests for comment.

There is no information on when or where HBO shows will ultimately become available again in the Indian streaming space. Last year, HBO Max's plans to launch in the country fell through.

Disney+ Hotstar remains India’s biggest streamer, with 57.5 million subscribers. It had witnessed a drop of 6% in December last year after it lost the rights to stream the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament.
