In an interview with Film Companion, Diljit Dosanjh said that he cannot please directors for work in Bollywood. Dosanjh also spilled the beans on how networking is important to survive in the business but it is something that is he uncomfortable with.
“I have seen actors video-calling their producers on set 6 times a day. I can’t do this. You struggle so much to work with big directors by pleasing them, I don’t wish to say anything more [slightly smiles]. They [actors] say stuff that is so fake that I can’t even say. And they know it all but it's not their fault because that’s how the industry and the networking works,” Dosanjh said.
Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra will share the screen for the first time in Amar Singh Chamkila biopic, the Punjabi singer who was shot dead along with his wife by unidentified gunmen in 1988.
