Dhanush Receives Youth Icon Award, Says It’s A Reminder To Dream More

After Vaathi, Dhanush is currently working with director Arun Matheswaran for their upcoming film Captain Miller. Recently, he attended the closing ceremony of Dakshin CII Summit 2023. At the event, Union Minister Anurag Thakur presented him with the Youth Icon Award. 

Dhanush was elated to receive such an award at the age of 40. After thanking CII, he said, “I never thought I will come this far and also win this Youth Icon award at the age of 40. It’s just a reminder that there is always so much to dream, achieve and conquer.” 

The actor further spoke about his early days and how he wasn’t accepted in the industry because of his looks. “Even though the situation was like that, I kept on dreaming to achieve many things and here I am. I have a lot more to achieve and I take this opportunity to thank my parents, almighty and wonderful directors without whom I wouldn’t have made it to this place,” Dhanush concluded.
