Deepika to Star Opposite Mahesh Babu in Rajamouli's Next Film

Deepika Padukone and Mahesh Babu will share the screen in director SS Rajamouli’s next. The film, written by Rajamouli's father K.V. Vijayendra Prasad, is said to be inspired by real life events.

Tentatively titled SSMB29, the film is an adventure drama, will most likely go on floors by the first half of 2023.

Padukone is currently busy with another pan-India film titled Project K starring alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Suniel Shetty. The film, which got delayed by a year due to the pandemic, is being directed by Nag Ashwin. Whereas Babu was last seen in action-drama Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022) written and directed by Parasuram.
