“When a person’s feelings are hurt, it will take him to several extremes. And it has brought me to a battlefield,” Naga Chaitanya tells us in a voice-over, as we see several cars and other things burn on a road in the backdrop (looks like an aftermath of a bomb blast). Chaitanya plays an honest police officer who considers “the truth” as his only weapon and Arvind Swami essays the antagonist role.
Although the plot is kept under wraps, it looks like Chaitanya learns of some truth he is not supposed to know. Chaitanya says that he knows he is very close to getting killed but the truth is in his custody. The teaser then takes us through a montage of action shots, with the powerful score of Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja underscoring the tense mood.
While Krithi Shetty plays the female lead in the film, she appears for hardly a second in the teaser. The rest of the cast includes Priyamani, Sharat Kumar, Sampath Raj, Premji Amaren, Vennela Kishore and others. Custody is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and marks Chaitanya’s first film as lead in Tamil and Venkat Prabhu’s directorial debut in Telugu. The action entertainer is slated to hit the screens on May 12.
