We asked the Gangs of Wasseypur and Sonchiriya actor to recommend three books on cinema that every film aspirant should read. Here’s what’s on Manoj Bajpayee’s bookshelf:
‘An Enemy of the People’ by Henrik Ibsen
New actors should make it a habit to read plays and work on the scenes. There can’t be a better choice than Ibsen as his characters and plots are still so relevant.
‘Rashmirathi’ by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar
Read either this or any other poem or poet. Poem recitation gives you a good sense of rhythm, diction, speech and the importance of words in dialogue.
