Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of October 3rd, 2022 – October 9th, 2022. The numbers are estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming releases from the South.

1. Karm Yudh — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 5.5

Set in Bengal, the show revolves around a bloody family feud between the Roys. Karm Yudh stars Satish Kaushik, Ashutosh Rana and Paoli Dam.

2. Maja Maa — Amazon Prime Video

Views (million): 4.4

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film sees Madhuri Dixit play a middle-class Gujarati mother whose past threatens to disrupt her son's engagement.

3. Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 4.3

Directed by Rohan Sippy, the third installment of the Criminal Justice series sees Pankaj Tripathi reprise his role as lawyer Madhav Mishra.

4. Babli Bouncer — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 3.1

Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the movie follows the story of a female bouncer, played by Tamannaah Bhatia, who tries to find her way in a profession dominated by men.
