Inside the Box: Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar Earns Rs 14 Crore on its Opening Day

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (TJMM), directed by Luv Ranjan, is a romantic comedy starring  Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The film was theatrically released yesterday, March 8. Box Office India reported that the film earned approximately Rs 14 crore on its opening day. 

According to Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir Kapoor’s previous film, Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (2022), collected Rs 36 crore on its first day. TJMM marks Shraddha Kapoor’s return to the big screen after Baaghi 3 (2020), which earned Rs 17 crore on its opening day. And Ranjan’s last directorial, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), starring Kartik Aaryan, collected Rs 6.42 crore on its first day, reports Bollywood Hungama. 

Selfiee, directed by Raj Mehta and starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, was the last big-budget Hindi movie and hit the screens on February 24. According to Bollywood Hungama, it earned Rs 2.55 crore on its first day.
